Bermuder Grand Carpet Grass (TM)

Bermuder Grand Carpet Grass

Bermuda Grand Carpet Grass (TM) has a broader leaf than the rest of the grass varieties. It is a coarse-textured species of grass but is more drought tolerant and better suited for the drier climates. It has shallow roots in dense soils and is typically the dominant species in low fertile soils. It is more suited to warmer climates but still does quite well in colder climates. Bermuda Grand Carpet Grass grows extremely quickly in warmer climates and needs mowing every seven days but does have great coverage for the non-enthusiastic home gardener. It has a soft texture, can handle a fair amount of shade and can tolerate a fair amount of wear although it is not salt tolerant. This grass is recommended for residential homes, roadsides and footpaths.
